Beyond FDG: Other radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals used in PET-CT

Radiographers and Technologists

18-FDG has become the de facto radiopharmaceutical for imaging many types of cancer; however, it is not applicable in all cases (e.g. prostate or cardiac imaging).

This course explores other radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals less frequently used in PET-CT imaging to enhance radiographers’ and technologists’ knowledge about these lesser-known alternatives.

This e-learning course can be completed at your own pace and at a time and place to suit both you and your organisation’s requirements.

Suitable for radiographers and nuclear medicine technologists.

Learning Outcomes

  • Describe the alternative radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals to FDG-18.
  • Determine which radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals to use for each case.
  • List the advantages and disadvantages of using each radioisotope and radiopharmaceutical.

What Our Students Say

Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don’t wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it’s at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored.
