Human Factors and Patient Safety Level 1

Clinical Assistants

The issues and risks associated with Human Factors impact people and organisations daily, often causing disruption at some level and occasionally with detrimental impacts to people, service delivery and organisations’ reputation.

To mitigate against human factors, we need to ensure staff are equipped with the underlying principles of risk assessment, error detection, situational and self-awareness, and develop an organisational culture that empowers individuals to speak up, regardless of their role or position.

This e-learning course demonstrates how our behaviour impacts patient safety, the importance of speaking up, getting the right patient, to the right place, at the right time, and developing and sharing a plan to ensure everyone has the correct information.

Suitable for Clinical Assistants and Administration staff.
